Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, with few permanent ties, involving musical, artistic, singer songwriters, poetic, literary or spiritual pursuits.
 In this context, Bohemians may or may not be wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds, they purely can be glamorous gypsies going from place to place wherever the wind blows.

This use of the word bohemian first appeared in the English language in the nineteenth century to describe the non-traditional lifestyles  of impoverished artists, musicians,writers, actors, singers back in the day.

Bohemians were associated with unorthodox or anti establishment political or social viewpoints, which often were expressed through free love—in some cases—voluntary poverty.

 A more economically privileged, wealthy, or even aristocratic bohemian circle is sometimes referred to as haute bohème, (literally "high Bohemia").

In a nutshell, a Bohemian is a person living an unconventional lifestyle. He or she is in close ties with bohemians alike who are usually living up their artistic, literary, musical, adventurous, and other alternative passions.
 Although it has spread across the globe more than a hundred years ago, it has become an inviting lifestyle option for its hip, liberating, yet profound approach to the new generation.
Evoking the essence of philosophy, spirituality, and mythology.


Bohemianism is more than the individual’s pursuit of self-expression, it also opens up pathways to showcase each person’s impact to the world. We believe that if one “jumps onto life’s pages in full color”, he or she can leave a mark in history that in some way could nourish our home.
A festival girl wearing a flower crown and a brown boho bag may seem as a Bohemian nowadays, but if she is living a conventional life then she may not be as she dresses to be. 

It takes more than a caftan and a fringe handbag to crown one as a true Bohemian. 

Eccentric attitudes, beliefs, and actions that don’t conform to society are established early on.



I have met a lot of people in my life, especially those that wear feathers in there hair and live in cities, its difficult to make a transition into being able to live this way, but when you have found the key to actually  free yourself from the city mentality and you don't need it any longer it changes everything around you, thus your reality shifts into a new awareness of actually freeing yourself a little more.


You learn how to live more like the ancients used to, closer with the earth
and its elements.
You sense
 more deeply the seasons changing,
you begin to feel more.

you loose track of time.

you begin to truly smile

and you learn to live closer within your hearts longing.

I live on an Island off Greece, in a far away magical place most people would want to run away to. In fact I was one of those people who would sit in my office day after day and look out of my office window down into a grey smoggy city below and for hours dream about some far away place. I never felt I belonged anywhere, unless the sun shone down on me, and that I would be surrounded by animals and nature. In my twenties I surrounded myself with the glitz and glamour of the Middle east, working for television and radio, and as a personal stylist and shopper mostly wearing black. Celebrities, politicians, and wealthy people were a regular stream in my old life. What is Kantha?

Kantha,   i s a type of embroidery typical of eastern South Asia, especially in the Indian states of West Bengal and Odisha, and in Bangladesh. In Odisha, old saris are stacked on each other and hand-stitched to make a thin piece of cushion. This is normally used above a bed cushion or instead of a cushion. Kantha is a form of embroidery often practised by rural women. The traditional form of Kantha embroidery was done with soft dhotis and saris, with a simple running stitch along the edges. Depending on the use of the finished product they were known as  Lepkantha  or  Sujni Kantha . The embroidered cloth has many uses including shawls, covers for mirrors, boxes, and pillows. In some cases, the entire cloth is covered with running stitches, employing beautiful motifs of flowers, animals birds and geometrical shapes, as well as themes from everyday activities.
